Silencio Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17 July 2026 · App package: com.halalapps.silenciozones

In short: Silencio is a geofencing utility that silences your phone when you enter places you choose. Your real-time location is used only on your device and is never sent to a server. We do not show ads, we do not track you, and we do not sell your data.

1. Who we are

Silencio ("the app") is published by the Silencio developer ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact the developer through the email address listed on the app's Google Play store page.

2. What information the app processes

2.1 Information used only on your device (never sent to us)

2.2 Information stored in your Firebase account (so your zones can sync across devices)

If you sign in with Google, the following is stored under your own account in Google Firebase:

If you do not sign in, none of the above is stored remotely. The app works fully offline with zones stored only on your device.

3. Android permissions and why we need them

4. Third-party services

4.1 Google Firebase (Authentication + Cloud Firestore)

If you sign in, your account and your zones are stored on Google Firebase. Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS and is stored under your own user document. Google is a data processor, not a recipient for advertising. See Firebase privacy and security.

4.2 Google Sign-In

Authentication is handled by Google. We receive a Firebase user ID and an email address from the sign-in flow; we do not receive any other Google account information.

4.3 OpenStreetMap Nominatim

When you search for a place or view the address of an existing zone, the app sends the search query or the zone's coordinates to the public Nominatim reverse-geocoding service at nominatim.openstreetmap.org in order to display a readable address. This request is made over HTTPS and does not include your account identity. See the Nominatim usage policy.

5. What we do not do

6. Children

Silencio is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention and deletion

Zones you create remain in Firestore under your user document until you delete them from inside the app or until you request deletion. Signing out stops syncing but does not by itself delete your Firestore document. To have your Firestore data permanently removed, contact the developer through the email address on the Play Store listing and include the email address of the Google account you used to sign in. We will delete the associated document within 30 days.

8. Security

All network traffic between the app and Firebase or OpenStreetMap is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Firestore security rules restrict every user document to its own owner — you cannot read or write another user's zones, and no one else can read yours.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right under GDPR, CCPA, or other local laws to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Since the only personal data we hold is your email address and the zones you created, you can exercise all of these rights directly in the app (edit/delete zones, sign out) or by contacting us for full deletion.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how the app handles your data, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use of the app after such an update means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or deletion requests, use the support email listed on the Silencio Google Play store page.
